To the Whitlow Family:
My deepest condolences on your loss. Jim was a real American and a patriot. My son, Christian, is currently a C-130J pilot at Cherry Point. I can only hope that he measures up to Jim's contributions to our society.
Class of 70-08
There are no perfect words of comfort at this difficult time, but please know that we of pilot training class 70-08 all loved Jim, and will quietly remember and miss him. May your memories comfort you.
(Scott Bedwell, dec.)
I went to Air Force pilot training with Jim Whitlow. He was one of two Marines in our class – 70-08, and the leader of one-half of us second lieutenants. It was my privilege to serve with him, and to become better acquainted with him in the last few years. As you all know, he was a devoted father, loving husband, and patriot. I could say much more, but, as the saying goes, words are not adequate. I am a better man for having known him. My heartfelt condolences to his family, and a solemn and respectful salute to Jim. Jim Pigg, Lt Col, USAF (Ret)
