You're right Gary, it was 1976, the year I got my yellow VW. A lot of people honked and said they would vote for her, but I guess it wasn't enough. That poster must be worth big $$ now, since it was a very
limited edition.

Bob and I and our children shared many fun times with Jim and Jane and their children. We rode horses, went antiquing, shot tin cans & clay pigeons, moved cows from one pasture to another, looked for mushrooms, fished in the pond, went frogging and ate lots of good food. We were blessed to have you as friends and then as family.

Dear Jane,

How about that. I have never written a "Dear Jane" letter before. I am glad this is my first. Running through the photographs I am reminded of your spectacular smile which perfectly matched your personality. Always bright, always positive. What a treat it was to know you and be able to enjoy your company.

And if I had I known that you were running for President, I would certainly have voted for you. But not in 1974 - I am pretty sure that there was no presidential election that year.

Jane
It was a joy to have taken care of you in your time of need. You always had a smile on your face and were laughing. You will truly be missed. R.I.P

Aunt Jane..... I was real disappointed back in 1974 (?) when you lost that Presidential election. I drove around with your campaign poster in my back window for about six months. I think you might have improved things for all of us had you been elected... Chad
