Dear Jan,
I remember first meeting you when Joe brought you to the farm at Prescott for Sunday dinner. You were full of life, enthusiasm, laughed and joked in such a natural and relaxed manner that it was as though you had been a member of the family for years!
I liked you immediately and looked forward to the future visits you would make to the farm.
Sunday, for me, was homework and more homework; you took such an interest in what I was studying, even helping me carry library books to the basement where I studied on the cardtable. We would not only talk about what I was studying but you would look through the books with me.
And Joe had always been so good to me, patiently helping me dress the puppy in doll clothes, wheeling the doll stroller back and forth on the sidewalk, the puppy being the passenger, and he was always smiling and laughing. How we loved his visits.
And now, he had brought you to us!
You and Joe were wonderful to me and I remain so very grateful.
I love you both,
Karen Baker
