This is a sad day for me and my family. I knew Jerry aboard ship and really
became a close friend at our reunions. We all loved to hear him speak of his
life stories, and to lead us in singing of The Star Spangled Banner.
God bless you Jerry.

Gerry will truly be missed! Our sympathy to Kenny and Peggy who we got to know at many Canberra reunions. Hope they still come. Gerry kept us dancing and made us feel special. Sympathy to the rest of the family and friends.

Gerry touched so many lives. At our U.S.S. Canberra reunions he always took the time to make me as well as everyone feel welcome and a part of the Canberra family. He was loved and respected by all members of the crew. He will truly be missed. Gene Sibley & Di Franson
