Joan - I remember the dress you made for me to wear in my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Danny's wedding when I was 7 years old. It was beautiful and made me feel very special. It was my blessing when I got to be friends with your dear and amazing daughter Katy in high school, and now she is one of my most precious friends for life. Thank you for all you have given me.
Jo--You're doing it all better now; only now you have no physical restrictions. Your creativity and beauty and love and fun and cleverness have total free expression. Thanks for more than you ever realized you gave to me. Your forever sister, Rie
Now Sue will be happy - Joan will be up there to make pigs in a blanket! Oh what fun they will have.
Joan became my friend when we were volunteer "parents" at Madison Elementary. I came to respect and depend on her. She taught me as well as helped me. I will never forget her energy, or her smile.
No one will ever be able to replace such a wonderful person and aunt as Aunt Joan. She will be deeply missed in our lives. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Love Forever, Charles Dean, Rachel and James Dean Hodge
