Dr. Bricker was a very calm, caring and knowledgeable person. He was completely dedicated to helping the patients under his care; he treated the patient and the patient's family with dignity, always understanding of our fear and anxiety of the unknown. He always was comforting and you knew he cared passionately about each and every one of us. Dr. Bricker was selfless and love was emanated his very being. He was a wonderful person, a skillful physician and a child of God. I didn't want my only son to have a heart defect; I tried to get him care in the late 1990 in Houston but had horrible experience after horrible experience. I didn't trust the cardiologists in Houston and for 10 years I drove in access of 400 miles to get my son the care he needed. God gave me Dr. Bricker, we were in crisis and that is the only reason I considered a Houston doctor and I got Dr. Bricker. He took my son's case on as his personal physician and walked us through every step of the surgery. As I cried tears of fear he reassured. Now I cry tears of gratefulness and pray for his family's peace. There will be a day when we all are side by side with this wonderful, kind loving servant.
