John was a great friend, great boss, great mentor and a great man. He had a profound influence in many lives, and I am happy that mine is one of them. My sincere sympathy to Lucille, John Jr., Benette and your families. May God embrace you as you grieve your loss.
John was my boss at the Parks & Recreation department back in the 60s. He was a very caring person, and truly concerned with the welfare of those he came in contact with. I have often fondly thought of him over the years. My sympathy to his family.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
John reached out to our youth with his kindness and time. He made a speical connection with one of our young men when he encouraged that youth with a gift of his own guitar. We at the Wichita Children's Home will always remember him with much affection.
Dear Lucille. I remember both John and you fondly from my many years at Dawson UMC. John was a good man who served his nation, family and God well. My deepest sympathy. Peace.
