Very sorry to hear of your loss. I had the privilege and good luck to serve with John in the Marine Band during my time there. ( 66-70 B. Trombone) I have many happy memories of Sandy and John and their great sense of joy and humor at the many parties, Beethoven B-day get togethers, and of course on the job. We all grumped about things, but we shared more laughs, smiles and jokes while going about our business. John was a superb musician, an articulate and warm human being. He made a positive difference in this world and I expect he will in the next also. Bill Richardson
Sandy, you and I had such fun during the Marine Bane years and I have often thought of the two of you over the years. Know you will adjust to this next stage of your life and find your way through the difficult days. Wishing you well
Sad to hear that John has passed. We had some great times at U of I and in the Marine Band. My thoughts are with you.
I was so sorry to hear of Doc's passing. I understand at times it was a struggle, but he can now rest. I have wonderful memories of the two of you during our years together at JMU. Who knew there was so much to know about white noise... and I had never heard anyone play french horn in a jazz jam session! John was a wonderful man, teacher and mentor, and he will truly be missed. Please know that your extended family will be keeping you in our hearts and prayers. Much love to you.
You had many years of helping Mike and you did it so well. Mike is better off now and you will have new paths to take now.
