I am very sorry to hear of Dr. Wilkes' death last February 6th. (just before
his birthday) My condolences go to Barbara, Jim, Paul, Patrick and Sarah and their families.
I worked at Sunrise Hospital Pathology Department when he became
the third pathologist in the group. (1971-1995) He had a cheerful
personality…. and a bonus, for me, was that he spoke clearly when he dictated.

My husband and I worked with Danny at Suburban Hospital in the early '60s. We have very fond memories of those days. Danny was always interesting and kept the lab lively. We haven't had much contact in recent years, but we remember visiting him and Barbara in Las Vegas. Danny insisted that we use his Jeep to get out of the city and explore the beautiful countryside. I also remember the "hill" in their back yard!
Our sincerest condolences to you all.

He pulled me into CAP activities and was a supportive role model. I will ever be grateful and impressed by his friendly grace and warmth. The perils of Pauline were easier with him as a sympathetic shoulder.
Paul, Sorry to hear about your dad. A good man and a long time friend.
My husband and I worked for Dr. Wilkes in the late 1970's at Sunrise Hospital. Dr. Wilkes was an incredibly kind man who was never too busy to answer a question or solve a problem. Our thoughts are with his family at this time. My husband wrote a condolence today but forgot to sign his name so I will sign for both of us.
