I'll always remember Pops as a Pathfinder. He showed many others the way. He was one cool soul brother. Thanks for the encouraging words thru the years. Your work is complete. RIP
It's been many years since I last talked with Johnny. Shortly after he came on board the Department, I had the distinct privilege of teaching him the "ropes" of public safety dispatching. On learning of his passing,I immediately searched out several items of memorabilia that he had shared with me during our time of working together. Some humorous, some religious, and some personal. But, all very much Johnny! It strikes me that while I was teaching, I was also learning things from him that have served me well as I moved on in life.
Always the gentleman. Always caring.
Always consideration of others. Always keep good humor.
As all who have come to know him, I know Johnny rests in peace.
