For the past several years I have known Joni as a very kind and generous supporter of rescue collies in the Southwest Collie Rescue program. She could always be counted on to without question take in any collies we needed help with. Some of these collies were very challenging and Joni always managed to make it look easy. There were a few that we just did not have any other options for and they seemed to thrive with Joni and over extended periods. I often felt guilty for relying so heavily on Joni but she never complained and without question accepted the collies. In the rescue business we call people like Joni angels and believe in the afterlife that she is with the collies she loved and that previously passed. We will miss her here.
Joni, you have always been a great friend. Will miss you at ringside and in life. When you said you wanted a Belgian Tervuren like Wolf, I asked if you were sure. I am so glad you were the one to be owned by Sly. Love, Jean
Joni, we will miss you dearly and so will our rescue collies. Rest in peace.
To all of you who had the honor of knowing Joni, you know we lost an Angel. I met Joni shortly after I moved to AZ only 7 years ago and shared her love of dogs and in particular, collies. Joni fostered many collies for Southwest Collie Rescue over the years. Many required nursing care, to heal their wounds, both physical and psychological. Joni cared for them as if they were her own dogs. I hope her example carries forward in the hearts of others. I will most surely miss her.
My dearest Joni thank you for being a true and honest friend i really will miss you
