I have only just now learnt of Jose's passing and it's a very sad day for me. Thanks to one of his many email friends, I was nade aware of your loss and I hope you and The Family are all coping as best you can.
I will never forget the day I asked Jose what 'pastrami on rye' was, as I had heard it mentioned on many American T.V. programs. Jose jumped on the phone and rang The Carnegie Deli in New York, placing an order with them! The next morning, I answered your front door and there it was; a package from The Carnegie Deli which had been flown down overnight and delivered to your house - I couldn't believe it, but we certainly enjoyed it!
My Brother Jose' is now at peace with his Maker.
Edna, Javier, Carina and Hubert, little Edna and Carlos; it was my pleasure to have known you and I feel your pain.
All my love,
Jimbo Drever - Vietnam Veteran - Australia.
