Joseph Edward Farrington II

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Farringtons' passing. He was my favorite eye dr growing up! I loved how he always gave us Tootsie Pops afterwards, it was such a treat for us 8 kids! My eyes were always so bad and I remember once I had to tell him which side the 'red line' was on. and I said, right..and he patted my hands and said, ok, Beckie, this is your right and this is your left, now tell me again which side is it on? I almost started crying....I even failed my eye test! ;) I always laugh about that! God rest your soul Dr. Farrington, I am sure Jesus is saying, WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT! Dr. Farrington was our family eye Doctor until he retired. How we all loved his stories. What a wonderful man. Thoughts and prayers with his family.

He was my great-grandfather...I have such fond memories of him and my great-grandmother Barbara from my childhood. So sad to hear of his passing, but know he lived a long, happy life. {Catherine Jones- Herndon, daughter of Susan}

Dr. Farrington was our family eyedoctor until his retirement and my kids loved his jokes. Our sympathy to all the family. He was such a nice man.

Joe had been my golf and email friend for many years. His knack, wit and delight in telling Shaggy Dog stories and puns was unsurpassed by anyone to my knowledge. Not many men are in the category of sui generis, but Joe was. I will miss him, a true friend. Tom Lytle, Elk Grove
