He was a good man. He was a friend, but he was ALWAYS Mr. Holliday, Principal. He came to all of the class reunions. I will miss seeing him. May God's peace be with the family.
Mr. Holiday was a great principal at Needham B. Broughton High School when I attended during the years of 1964-1967. I am sure God has a special place for him to serve in heaven with young people, for he was a great example to us all as we walked the halls of Broughton to and from classes. I can tell from his picture that he did not age as he got older! He looks almost the same as he did in the 60's. May the God of peace and comfort be there for his remaining family while here on earth.
Phyllis Morriss, class of 1967
Mr. Holliday was related to my mother, and we attended the same church; but I remember him most as the best principal I've ever known! As a teacher, myself, I learned how blessed I'd been at Broughton to have had such leadership at the helm. If other principals had possessed his skills in my career, I'm convinced students would have been more respectful and taken their academic studies seriously. Education has lost a real role moddel in his passing. My condolences to his daughters and their families.
I GRADUATED BROUGHTON IN 1967. MR HOLIDAY WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ME. WHEN I PASSED HIM IN THE HALL, HE WOULD ALWAYS TALK TO ME. I HAVE MISSED HIM GREATLY. I AM TRULY SORRY FOR HIS PASSING AND I KNOW THAT HE IS WITH THE LORD.
