You were and are a special man, special son, special brother and a wonderful daddy! You will be missed by all, taken from us way to soon! Any and all that loved you and met you we were all blessed to have known such an awesome person! You will be missed Joey, and I was so blessed to have been your step-sister!

You were a treasured friend to Doug and I and a beloved Uncle to our children. You left us to soon, but left many memories for us to take with us to treasure. We will love you always and think of you daily.

Joe,
You had a big heart, and will be greatly missed by all of us. I was looking forward to doing more bowling and fishing with you and Gabe. God knows I was going to get you your own Big Bag of peanut M&M's. I feel sad for us, especially Stephanie and Gabe, and your sisters and your mother and Sasha, and so many more that will greatly miss you; but I feel happy for you. You made it to the place where there will be no more sorrows or tears or body aches or pains; and I know there are lots and lots of treasures stored up for you there.

SPC Ray was an outstanding Soldier! It was an honor to serve with him and his contributions to the Oregon Army National Guard and the 2-162 IN will be missed. His positive personality and exceptional dedication were infectious and had a very positive impact on all that knew him. He was a true American hero and his memory will live on.
