To Mrs. Burtner and family,
So sorry to hear about "Dr. Danny".
I am here because of his knowledge and VW "bug".
I will miss his smile! Thank you for sharing your husband and father with the community.
Peace and blessings to you and yours,
Doris & Kathy Hensley

Dr. Burtner was my childhood & adolescent doctor. He was a wonderful doctor but not only that he was a wonderful man. People come and go in our life and sometimes the memories fade along with them. Dr. Burtner was not one of those people. The love and kindness he bestowed upon me and my brother left a lifetime of memories. After hours office calls to his home were always welcome and he never made you feel like you were an inconvenience. Over the years I've thought of him often and he will always hold a special place in my heart. Wishing you God's comfort & peace at this difficult time.

Family and Friends of Dr.Burtner May you find comfort, peace and the support that you will need to make it through this difficult time. We wish you the gift of a memory whenever you need to know, the one you love still walks with you wherever you may go.
Being with Dr.Burtner for over 25 years (with both of my children)from birth through high school) I can say that I would find it hard to find a better pediatrician. My son and daughter love him, he was kind, incredibly knowledgeable, gentle and you could plainly see that he truly cares about his patients. "I was impressed by his professionalism and the way he made me and my child feel very comfortable. He took time to listen to me and answered and explained things very clearly. He answered all of my questions, and did not leave the room until I was completely satisfied.
I would never have never switch to another pediatrician because he was the"BEST"

Dr. Burtner was my Dr. growing up in Harrisonburg in the 1970's and 1980's. I always think of him when I think of what the definition of a great Dr should be. I wish my kids could be as lucky as I was to have such a great Dr.

I am very sad to hear of his passing.

To the Burtner family,
Growing up on Preston, I was able to see first hand what a kind, generous man Dr. Burtner was. He made very significant and memorable contributions to our neighborhood and to the community at large. Seeing him making his frequent runs inspired me to do the same. I know he will be sorely missed.
I wish all of the family the best during this difficult time,
Randy
