Lawrence Harry "Papaw" Dailey
Harry was one of the best young men to come out of High Island Independent School District. I remember the year he was selected Best Citizen. Harry had a great sense of humor. He was an
all round great guy. Several years ago at a high school reunion, he told me how surprised his college English teacher was that he knew how to diagram a sentence. She called him up to the board for a demonstration. When he proved he knew how, she asked him where he learned that. He gave Mrs. Thelma Meynig, our high school English teacher, credit. I was always proud to call him friend. Another Class of '51 graduate, Billie Bolin Jones

Dear Darla, Danny and Family,
Please accept my condolences in this time of loss. I know many others from Anderson High who would feel the same way.
