"They" say time heals all wounds.  I don't know who "they" are but as we approach three months I can confidently say "they" are VERY wrong!!  It is still so very hard to believe you are gone!   It still amazes me how incredibly courageous and strong you were!  I am grateful that you did not have to suffer any more...BUT there isn't a single goes day that goes by that I don't think about you and am reminded how much I MISS YOU and LOVE YOU!!!

Every day I think about you. Today I remember you as a beautiful, happy, smiling bride. I will never forget your wedding day, as that was the day we became sisters. I miss you with all of my heart Leanna and will remember you as my sister always. xoxo

What a wonderful day it was
With a Beautiful Bride
And a Handsome Groom
Who were both so much in love.

They had ten wonderful years to share
Their love would strengthen and grow
And then an added blessing of
A bouncing Baby Boy.

We have these golden memories
Of happier days that are gone
And thinking of them often
Will help us carry on.

As we are approaching Leanna & Jason's 10th Wedding Anniversary, we just wanted to share a few of our memories of their Wedding Day. First of all, we were so moved by the heartfelt emotion as Jason & Leanna shared their vows. That we will never forget. We arrived early at the recepton hall and I was showing Ellen that I was going to leave a book that she wanted under the table. Leanna saw this from across the hall and said, " Aunt Barb, are you leaving bibles at all the tables for our wedding? That's so sweet." (I have worked at a Church for the past 25 years.) Leanna and a few of her bridesmaids saw John and I as we were leaving the reception and she called out, "Uncle John, did you bring any piggies to our wedding? I would have loved to of had some piggies at our wedding!. (John has been a hog farmer most of his life). The last time we saw Leanna was in February of this year. We visited the three of them in their lovely home and had brought along a lst birthday card with a little something in the envelope for Dylan. We asked her if she would please take it and buy Dylan a little something for his first birthday. She smiled her beautiful smile and said "I would love to!" This is our last memory of Leanna --- standing at the door of their home with Jason & Dylan. But, we think about her short life often and all that she accomplished and especially her extraordinary courage & grace. With love, Aunt Barb & Uncle John XX0X

The lonely cawing of a crow
Echos in my soul
The last I saw Her lovely face
Seems so long ago
And yet I feel her presence near
And never far away
As I sit upon this garden bench
And visit her today.
