Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss. Leonard will be missed by many, I will miss his enthusiasm and his humor. My condolences to you and your family. My prayers are with you.
Our prayers are with you now as they were this morning after your call while we were at the Augustana Heritage Assn. meeting.

Dear Sharon, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have always been proud to have Leonard Sander as one of my distinguished cousins. I enjoyed our conversation when you and Leonard visited Swede Home a few years ago and at a "Peterson Cousins" reunion in Kansas City when we were all younger. I have many found memories of Leonard at family gatherings "back in the day." Leonard's passing will leave an empty place in our family.
Dear Sharon, Our prayers are with you and the wonderful family you and Leonard raised over the years. We are blessed to be among your friends. Love, IlaJean and Ron Kragthorpe
How saddened we are to learn of Leonard's passing. It seems but a short while ago that we enjoyed an overdue visit with you both, catching up on family and career news, reminiscing about so many shared experiences.
The Star obituary provided an important picture of Leonard's many accomplishments, and yours, as well. If we may, we'd like to add another star to his halo...for his involvement in initiating interscholastic soccer competition into the CVUSD. He joined with Ken Sugino, Dale Haas, Herm Hogeman, Marsh Pollock, and Dave Carpenter in presenting a petition of over 3000 signatures to the CVUSD Board of Education seeking recognition of soccer as an official interscholastic sport. It was Leonard's political savvy that helped shape that effort. The legions of youngsters who have enjoyed competitive high school soccer since that time have Leonard and the other men mentioned to thank!
We send love and sympathy to you and the entire family...
