It's hard to find the words to express my thoughts about Lisa. I met Lisa during my Reading Recovery training year and have always admired her both professionally and personally. She had a warm heart, a humble nature, and a great sense of humor (always putting up with my wise cracks...but that's why I loved her!). Even though both of our lives had changed, we were always able to pick up the conversation and jokes as if we'd just spoken the day before. I have never met a person like Lisa and am very proud and fortunate to have known her. Lisa was like a light that illuminated the minds, hearts, and lives of so many people and she will be GREATLY missed!
Many hearts are broken over the loss of such a beautiful woman. Lisa is now reading to all Gods littlest angels in heaven. Rest in Peace Lisa
Sam and family,
Many years ago at West Riverside, I had the honor of becoming a friend and colleague of Lisa. She was an absolutely wonderful teacher and friend.
She will be missed by so many---teachers, friends and her students past and present. God bless you Lisa.
My name is Diane Bilyk. I was a Reading Recovery teacher under the direction of Lisa. I learned more from her than any class or books..She is resting and will be missed.
