Mr. Bohannon realized that he was in a unique position to become a role model for all of us that were in the Presbyterian Home for Children, now Bellwood. Having been a "children's home kid" himself, his advice and point of view held more worth. He and Mrs. Bohannon learned the personalities and names of every child in the home. Somehow, they could remember some relevant personal story or event to share with you when we would seek them out as adults. Laughter, being able to laugh at ourselves, and a strong sense of self worth were valuable lessons they both lived and passed on. Carolyn and Barbara were very generous in sharing their parents. We all knew how proud their parents were of them. We can almost see and hear the love and laughter they will share together for eternity.
