I look back on my time working with Loren in Midland and have so many great memories of the knowledge he imparted upon me; both life and work. I think of him often to this day. I also never knew he served in the 103 ID in WWII and was awarded an Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He never spoke of that. God Speed Loren. You are special. Fred
Our sincere condolences to Loren's family! Loren was a great engineer with an outstanding work ethic and a great upbeat attitude! Many engineers (including me) and geologists gained a wealth of knowledge from Loren! My years working with Loren were truly a pleasure!
Treasured childhood memories are of family vacations with Loren, Shirley and their kids--he and Shirley will be deeply missed.
Dear Robert, Ginger and David
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Loren's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May God bless you and your families.

Our deepest sympathy to Ginger, Robert, and David and all the grandkids. Loren was such a fine man. His obituary summarizes an exemplary life filled with family, service to country and others, world travel with Shirley. He was an excellent photographer; in fact, he was kind enough to take our wedding pictures. We will miss his Christmas letter with photos as will so many I'm sure...Loren told me last season that he'd been writing them for 50 years. Matt and I will think of him often. God bless.
