Lloyd Hurst was our backdoor neighbor!
He was also my Junior High Principal at the old High School!
He came out on the day that President Kennedy died and grabbed me by the shoulder and told me the president had been shot!
Nellie made me a lover of books and reading by reading aloud The Good Master by Kate Seredy! How blessed we were to have your parents in our lives!
Peace be with you all! Hugs, Lauralee Hamilton Foerster
Loyd was one of my favorite people I met when I moved to Putnam Co. in 1963. He was a remarkable intelligent man and had a fun loving smile. He was one of many special siblings of Aunt Ada. She would have been proud of all they became. I know their Aunt Pearl was sure proud of them.
Mr. Hurst was principal at Cloverdale Schools during most of my years there...he was a good man, a fair man, and cared about the children...I would view Mr. Hurst as a TEACHERS TEACHER....I know where you are Mr. Hurst, and if there were schools in Heaven, you would no doubt be in charge of them....Steve Lasley, Class of 1962
