I'm sure Luc has touched the lives of countless people in all manner of ways and I would just like to share something about the impact he's had on my life. For me, he made me feel welcome at HUD before I even started as a legal honors attorney. After I was accepted into the program and while I was still a law student, I invited Luc and a couple other folks from the LA office to come speak to a group of law students at USC. The event was a huge success, but what stands out most to me now is Luc's warmth and kindness. For a law student still months away from starting his first job at a large government agency and (in all honesty) not having a clue what to expect, making a connection with someone so welcoming meant all the world to me. Thank you, Luc, for making me feel like a part of the family.
I just read of Luc's passing. He was a dear friend and roommate at UCLA. Though we lost contact, I did think of him fondly over the years. What a kind man and such a great sense of humor. I see other dear friends/roommates who have commented and I know we all share in this sadness and the amazing memories of our time together. I feel truly blessed that he was my friend. My thoughts are with you, Roz, and your daughters. We loved you, Luc.
I just now found out about the Luc's passing. We went to UCLA together and part of a cadre of Bruins from Sproul Hall. My thoughts and prayers go out to Roz and daughters. He was a kind soul and knew he was the group's conscious and heart. Although we lost contact over years I am deeply sadden and we all are diminished with passing.
I am shocked at the passing of Luc Andre. We were roommates at UCLA and lost touch over the years. Whatever time that has passed, I will always remember him as a great human being with a kind heart and a gentle soul. My prayers are with Rosalind and his family. I will cherish my memories with forever.
May you rest in peace my friend.
