Mahlon Lewis Wright Jr.

I was so sorry to here about Lewis's passing. I have had the pleasure of knowing him through the Lake Region Audubon Society in Winter Haven. He was a gentle and caring advocate for the preservation and sharing of knowledge about the living world. He has always enjoyed our community events and up to recently been a very active member of our society. Winter Haven and the greater Lakeland area has lost another dedicated environmental philanthropist and supporter of children's education. We will all miss your wisdom and words of support.

Lewis was an active member of the Lake Region Audubon Society in which he served as a board member. Those that spent time around him know how generous he was and his love for children and education. Many times when discussing the cost of activities and programs he will reach for his pocket to offer support. We are deeply sorry for his departure, but will always remember him for his passion for insects and love for the natural world. Thank you Lewis for all your work. as a house keeper at lake howard heights i was blessed to have him on my floor.he always treated every one he met like family.i loved his painting of the panther he did.he made every one smile when he was around.he truley will be missed.im sure he is painting up in heaven now.prayers to the family.R.I.P. m

I have known Mr Wright for over 30 years as my husband worked for and beside him for over 25 years. What a wonderful employer and gentleman he was.
