Wendy, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Mike was generous with his time and always willing to help colleagues. I have fond memories of working with him.
Wendy So sorry to hear of Mike. He was a lovely man and made us so welcome when we were in Canada.Jean & John Smith Dalkeith Scotland (Alice's sister)
Wendy, my condolences to you and your family. I worked with Mike at BMO and respected him for his dedication to the company. I also enjoyed his approach to life and the banter back and forth.
One of my favourite memories of Mike is when he First Footed for us at Douglas Park Road in 1967/68 New Years. He went out the back door with his drink and the FirstFoot bag, wearing just his suit - no outer coat! We waited and waited and waited- no knock on the front door. Father was beside himself and went upstairs to call out to Mike from the bathroom window. Turned out that Mike was not coming around to the front to complete his "duties" until he had finished his rum and stamped out "HAPPY NEW YEAR" in the snow in the back yard! When he was happy with his endeavors, the First Foot carried on - and so did we. And that was Mike's first New Years in Canada! Bless you Mike.
