Mildred A. Baldwin

Friday, December 30, 2011
I got to know Mildred as a volunteer with a hospice agency. Although she outlived their guidelines and was discharged from their servcies, I continued to see Mildred and we became friends. Over a period of 2 1/2 years I continued to visit her. She frequently called me at home just to chat when she got lonely. I admired Mildred and loved her so as a dear friend and she always made a point of telling me that she loved me too. I will remember Mildred fondly as a beautiful lady who cared about so many and was so graceful. I will never forget when I took her roses for her 100th birthday and she cried because she did not have anything for my birthday. Our birthdays were just 1 day apart. I told her that her friendship was all the gift I needed for my birthday. I will miss my dear friend, but I know she is now at peace in her Heavenly Home. I am blessed to have known Mildred.
