John and Family, We were sorry to hear of your father's passing and wish you peace and comfort. Your neighbors, Peter and Rae Brown (Balsam Lane)
Mr. Najeeb Lotfey was truly a special person. Although I met him only recently, his thoughtfulness, dignity, and sincerity came through with every conversation we had. And, true to form, on our second visit he brought me a small and beautifully hand-painted stone as a gift for my wife. The world was a better place when he was with us. He provided us all with a wonderful example of how to life this life, and we who knew him are indeed fortunate to have been touched by this kind and gentle man.
I am just now learning of this. My deep sympathies to Naj's family. I first met him as a child when my Dad would take me along to meetings with him in his office on Congress St...my family was truly honored to have Naj help to management our affairs. My Dad felt a close personal friendship with him. Naj was a Godsend in helping my mother through the process following my fathers death. I can not say much more in testament to the character and nature that he possessed than what has already been said here. He was a true gentleman, of outstanding professional and personal quality. I have missed seeing him since his retirement. My hopes for peace to the famil.
My deepest sympathy to Mr. Lotfey's family. I remember Mr. Lotfey giving me flowers on my b'day when I worked at MacDonald Page on Congress St in Portland back in 1979.
He was a very nice person to work with and for. I will treasure the memories and miss him.
Our condolences to Barbara, John, Mike and family. We have many fond memories of Naj from years ago when we lived on Mayland Street and you all lived on Irving Street. We still remember with great fondness the wonderful swing that Naj made for Sarah. Our hearts are with you.
