Funeral services for Nell Maxine Davidson Banes age 90 of Meridian will be held Sunday September
5, 2010 at 3 pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Reed will officiate. Burial will
follow in Rock Hill Baptist church cemetery near Meehan. Mrs. Banes passed away Thursday at Jeff
Anderson
hospital. She was a native of Batesville, Arkansas and a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons Robert Davidson and George Davidson both of Meridian and Bill
Davidson and his wife Sandi of Powell, TN, stepdaughter Christy Banes Jones of Kansas City,
MO, grandchildren Angela McNeil of Stonewall, Gloria Ann Cole of Jackson, Dawn Covington of
Enterprise, Daniel Davidson of Meridian, Becky Lawson of Jacksonville, IL, Ross Davidson of Mt.
Sterling, IL, Magen Davidson of Clarksville, TN, and Kelly Davidson of Knoxville, TN, 18 great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Bill Banes and
George Lee Davidson, Brothers Pete McCord, Bill McCord, Alvin McCord,
Malcolm McCord and Joe McCord. Pallbearers will be Ross Davidson, Daniel Davidson, Roland
McCord, Larry Hamilton, Jason Covington, Dave Esteve and Jordan Davidson. Visitation will be
1pm until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Robert, I didn't know your mother personally. But listening to the things you used to tell me about her and having my sister tell me how impressed she was after meeting her I can almost hear her wit and her sense of humor. I understand that she held it to the end. God willing I can do the same someday. God bless you and your family and your dear mother's memory.
