Sharon & Michael - Please accept my sincere sympathy. Your Mother was a wonderful colleague for many of us in the VA. And, she was an outstanding mentor to young dietitians and dietetic interns.

I will always remember you wearing the large picture hat decorated with fresh strawberries at Dietetic Meeting at the Houston VA. What fun we had.

May the GOD of all comfort provide the family of Ms. Patricia Calmes with whatever is needed so you can cope with your great loss. Also there will be a end to all sicknesses, pain and suffering that sometimes ends in death. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Sharon & Mike,
Shirley and I were greatly saddened to read of your mother's death in today's Chronicle. She had been someone who had been part of my life since I was a little boy growing up in the Valley. When I came to Houston after college, she and your dad did a great deal to see that I had help acclimating to life in the big city. It really helped.

Patricia, obviously, loved life and those who were passing down the road with her. She spread Christ's love to others one person at a time. She truly cared about others...and it showed. What a lovely Lady!

We mourn her passing and will pray for your comfort.
