Along with so many others writing in this guest book, I, too, remember being in Dr. Fink's Inductive Bible Study class, but I also know him from the halls of the School of Religion when I worked there part time as a student/secretary in the early 80's.
Both Dr. & Mrs. Fink are people I can mark in my life as those who have encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. Every Christmas we have looked forward to receiving their family updates, and, of course, who can forget the "Wizard of Id" cartoons posted on his office door that originally said "The King is a fink!" and which he changed to "The Fink is a KING!"
He was a prince among men and in my heart I knew that he not only loved the Lord deeply, he deeply loved serving Him. I can imagine him exhorting each one of us to live out II Tim. 1:13,14 as he now looks into the eyes of his Savior and Lord and knows it was all well worth it. With great fondness of memory, Deb Gatz (LU class 1983)
