My sister Patty called to tell me this sad news. I'm visiting my daughter and family in Dallas. Because of this I won't be able to attend the service. We did not know Ray was so ill and hospitalized. He has suffered for a long time and now his suffering is over. You were the best thing to happen to Ray! I'm so thrilled he had that happiness with you! I knew Ray since I was thirteen, when I met his sister, Carol! All I can think of is that beautiful reunion in Heaven! May God Bless you and your family during this difficult time!
Eleven years or more, you were reunited with Gail and visited us at our Merritt Island Florida home. I will keep seeing you smiling on my porch waiting to see manatees and other marine wildlife swim in the water there. But the one smile I remember feeling you made me have, was having the opportunity to dance with you at our high school dances. What a special feeling you could give a girl with that honor. So sorry for the loss of a great guy. My sympathies to the Shutt family and especially to Ray's immediate family. Additional condolences to my good friend Rick. Please feel free to contact me if you wish.
I have great memories of you over the past 40 plus years. you will always be my friend. you can relax now.
Rest in peace, Ray. I recall many memorable times as we went through high school at DB. My thoughts are with Gail and family.
