I have always had a soft spot in my heart for "Mr. Widdows" as I called Phylli"s Dad. I met him in 1991 went I went home to Salem with her for a visit from Nursing School. I loved being at her house and enjoying her Dad and his sene of humor, her kind and good cook, Mom and the whole family.
Mr. Widdows was my hero. He steped up and let me drive his only car after I had been a serious car accident and was afraid to drive again. "I did it" with his trust and confidence in me.
I have never forgotten that kindness.
I know he is with God, How could a man like him be anyplace else.

Wow where to begin.... Uncle "Doodle"..I will always remember "smuggling" him a case of Coors beer because they didn't ship East of the Mississippi River. He always took an interest in us kids. I can remember panning for gold in Colorado, and fishing for trout on many occasions. No visit with Uncle Ray was complete without a fish fry. He always kept a fishing pole close at hand and would take time to listen to us kids. I am sure that there are fishing holes and mountain streams in Heaven, and I bet he is whistling a tune and fishing right now. I miss you Uncle Ray!

Aunt Sue says he was a founder of the Lutheran Church that will be hosting his services.
