So sorry to read of Rene's passing in the RIT Magazine. He lived next door to me at RIT and was raising a few dogs at the time. He was fun loving and
very full of life. That was in 1963.
Diane - I met Rene through Wells Fargo when I worked in Point Loma. Every time he was coming back from or heading down to Mexico, he would stop into the branch. I knew he was one of a kind and it was always great to see him. On each of those visits, he would look for me and once we started talking, the conversation almost always turned to family and personal interests. I would tell him about my wife and daughter and what our plans were for the future. He would always talk about you and the great times you had throughout your marriage. I'm sure you have your own treasure chest full of those same great memories. Whatever I can do to help you through this time in your life, please don't hesitate to call on me.
Dear Diane, I just learned of the news. My heart goes out to you. I know it has many, many years, but I still hold very fond memories of Rene and yourself when I was in service at Agfa. The times we spent together on the road, and especially the time spent on the boat, SDYC, and to top it off during the America's Cup when it was in San Diego were very special. I will never forget those fine times.
My thoughts are with you. God bless.
We miss you Rene. Kate, Karli and I have you in our prayers and thoughts through this difficult time Diane. Rene my friend, rest in peace.
Diane - I'm so sorry to hear about Rene. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you both in Baja and spend some nice times together. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
