Many good times, many good memories; will miss you, good buddy.
Simi Valley, CA
I had more respect for this man than almost anyone I ever knew other than my Dad. Richard did what he thought was right and fair. It didn't matter what was politically correct, he just did what was right.
Richard didn't play the personality game or politics; he had the courage of his convictions, told it like it was and followed through. For that reason he wasn't always popular with his bosses, but was very popular with all the men that worked for him.
Richard had a wry sense of humor and loved to give me a hard time, all in fun.
In all the years I worked with him, I never heard anyone say a bad word against Richard.
He was a true friend, a prince and a class act. I will miss him greatly.
We have lost one of the truly GOOD GUYS.
Bon Voyage Richard!
You are one of my favorite characters I came to know here at the Department. Bless you and your loved ones. Rest in Peace my friend...
Sorry to hear about Dickie's passing. Lost touch many years ago, but we spent a lot of time together at his house & mine, at school & in Scouts. (my dad was Scout leader). I will plant a tree in his memory.
Our dear Richard, we will always miss your great, hearty laugh and that wonderful Lobster Girl party we had in Reno! Thank you for your beautiful, giving soul.
