You were the most challenging and tough patient I have ever in over 20 years as a doctor! I thought initially that you were an "ice popsicle" and should have been a marine but soon found out that you had the warmest heart - only hidden in an ice cover. I knew after meeting Mrs. Schuerger that she knew something that others did not. Such a wonderful person could not have married an "ice popsicle!"
I admired your strength in the face of hard health challenges. I admired
your desire to fight and win multiple life threatening medical problems. I
admired your ability to stay calm when life was hitting you hard. I admired your ability to adjust and keep going.
I respected you for your knowledge, for your decision making power. I
respected you for being a navy officer that started as an enlisted . I
respected you for finding the balance between family and work.
You were my survivor model that helped me survive! I will always remember
your courage when I have to find mine and this inspires me to keep fighting and winning.Thank you!
It has been and honor and a pleasure knowing you ! May you rest in God's
