Robert J. Allen

Robert Jr. was a cousin i did not get to know very good untill several years ago and would not trade one moment of knowing him for anything in the world. He was always the sweetest and kind person. He love our mother very much and had his own way of showing it, but she loved her nephew a lot also. The last time i saw him he was sitting by my moms bed holding her hand while she laid dying and that was about the 15th of Oct.2009. Have talked to him since them though. He will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Just know that God is there to comfort if we will but only call on him.

Being in the construction business, I met Robert Allen and his son Terry back in the seventies and worked with him over the years. I can say with out a doubt that Robert was an exceptional man. He was honest to the to the extreme and you could count on his word and any advice he may suggest to you regarding a job.
All of the times I worked with Robert over the years were positive and I had alot of respect for him as a business man and as a person.
He had a great sense of humor (though some times dry) and he was a great person to know.
They say "character" is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. Robert Allen had character, and was an all around nice person.
My heart goes out to his family. You have every reason to be proud of him. God bless all of you.
With deepest sorrow for your loss,

My family and the Allens have been friends for a very long time. I went to school and graduated with his daughter Debbie and we're still good friends. Mr. Allen and his son Terry worked on my roof, my granny's roof and more recently my mom's house. He was a fine man and a warm person. He will be miseed dearly. Ours hearts go out to his surviving family.

I have know Robert and his family for over 40 years as we were neighbors in SW Largo since 1961. He was a very kind and generous man and a loving father to his children. He has done work for me and my husband before and his word and his work were always his bond. His family is in our prayers and he will be greatly missed. May God Bless you all. I had the honor of meeting Robert when I worked for R. L. Chapman, Inc. although I had been in construction for several years. It was a pleasure doing business with his firm and getting to know him as a person. His work ethic and personal integrity were above reproach. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
