Bob and I are of the same generation of educators. I got to know him in the 60s when I was at Wayne Township and he was at Franklin Twp. I moved away, but he stayed at Franklin and built the foundation of what is one of the fine suburban school communities. As we go through life, we rub shoulders with giants, people who do their thing in their place. Bob Mason was one of those giants.
Mr. Mason was a true educator. I can remember lessons from him while I was student teaching He also taught me how to butter my ear of corn! Love and condolences to the whole family, especially to Eljean. I love you all.
To Eljean and family. Mr. Mason (Bob to most of us) was a great teacher, educator and friend. He took the time to care! Remember, grief is powerful, but so is God! Class of '52, Dotti Peek
He was a great educator and a friend to all. He will be missed! Blessings to his wife and children. Jean Miller Roehrs, Class of 1954
Jeryl Lee--Luanne and I are both thinking of your loss. Your Dad had an impressive career. I am sure he was very proud of you.
