To the family of Bob Velasquez,
As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is one of Bob's piano notes of love rising to the heavens. Bob and I worked many jobs together playing in each others group. He was and will be a dear friend.I am sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with your family.

Bob/Bear and his 9-piece band played at my wedding in May 1959, so we were guaranteed good dancing music. Your friends from the Class of '56 will miss you and your great sense of humor. Sincerest condolences to the family.
MARY LOU,LILLY, OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO YOUR FAMILIES. I KNOW BOB IS PROBABLY STARTING AN ORCHESTRA WITH ALL HIS FRIENDS IN HEAVEN.IF YOU NEVER ATTENDED A CLASSSICAL CONCERT, OR A DANCE WHERE BOB PLAYED A BOLERO, YOU MISSED SEEING AND LISTENING TO A BRILLIANT MUSICIAN,NOT TO MENTION HIS WIT AND HUMOR.FOREVER MISSED, BUT IN A BETTER PLACE.REST IN PEACE.
When I come to the end of the
road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free!
Miss me a little, but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once
shared, miss me but let me go.
For this journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely
and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know
and bury your sorrows
in doing good deeds.
Miss me, but let me go.
Nuestras mas sinceras condolescias.
I love the photo tribute! Someone even managed to catch him smiling here and there! :) Bob was a delightful man to work with, and I hope his family and friends can find some comfort in all the happy memories he left behind.
