My dad was with your dad in Japan/ARMY 1st Cavalry. We were reminiscing and dad mentioned Roland, so I did a Google search for him. We're very sorry to learn of his passing. Mom & Dad, Marge and Bob Wurtenberger, visited him while on their honeymoon. Dad say's your dad miraculously arranged a 3 day retreat for the guys at a Trapest Monistary while stationed in Japan. Sincere condolences from the Robert Wurtenberger family. Mjwurt@gmail.com

Dear Joline and Family- I am sorry for your loss. It is clear from all the wonderful photos displayed on here that his family meant a lot to him. He had a wonderfully warm smile and I am sure he will be missed by the many lives he touched.

I was saddened to hear of the death of your Dad. It is hard for a Daughter to lose her Father. My Dad died 7 years ago- I miss him everyday.

I want to tell you how much I loved Roland. I worked with him at Shaw's. My husband was very sick for many years and he was always there for me. When my husband died I asked Roland to speak at the service. He was shocked. I told him that Mike had planned much of the service and had told me he did not want a church service. He wanted some one that he knew lived by the golden rule every day. He wanted Roland. I have many memories of him and they all make me smile. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that knowing how much he was loved by so many will help you in this difficult time.
Love to you all Ellenann Mc Neal
