Ronald S. Nowicki "Papa Ron"
"Uncle: one who helps, advises and encourages." According to Webster these are the traits of an uncle. I couldnt agree more. How privileged I was to call him this. Not family, yet welcomed as much. As I sit and ponder the passing of this great man I am in awe of the fullness he lived and was able to give to others. Looking through all your photos of years gone by filled with children and laughter but mostly LOVE, it is a blessing. The older I get, the more I realize how short life is and all the things "they" told you while growing up actually do hold some validity. For me, I feel like a part of my parents are gone all over again. I loved to hear his stories of their youth together. But looking at the room filled with people who would not be alive if it weren't for him, and people who mourn his loss and the people who will carry on his legacy, goodwill and loving kindness; I am..oddly ... comforted. Happy because his life means so much and will continue to mean much more through his wife, his children and their children and all those he touched and loved. He had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. His life and character has touched and meant so much to so many. I am confident the Lord is welcoming him home with the words we all long to someday hear. "Well done, good and faithful servant". Much LOVE~
