Ron was a dear friend to all of us here at Komen Northeast Ohio. When Ron and I bumped into each other in 2007 while Komen was seeking for furniture for its new office, he shared with me his breast cancer journey and how he felt left aside as a man facing the disease. We made a pact that together we would raise awareness of men affected with breast cancer. Ron was actively involved with Susan G. Komen. Through his company, the Office Furniture Warehouse, he donated his time to advise Komen Northeast Ohio in our office layout and donated furniture many times as we expanded our operations over the years.
In 2009, Ron was named a “Komen Pink Tie Guy” and joined our very first class of men proudly wearing a pink tie to spread the word about breast cancer and support the cause.
Ron also involved his son Brian who lended his graphic design talent to our organization.
It is with deepest gratitude for Ron's frienship and daily inspiration to my life that I am sending my husband and I most sincere sympathy to everyone who had the pleasure to cross path with Ron.
