Dr. Ross Hunter Finlayson
Dr. Finlayson was a class act! I was a patient of his for over 30yrs and when he was shopping at my work place, he would always make an effort to come and find me and say "Hi". I think of him often, my deepest sympathy to his family. BRUCE COOPER
I had a root canal yesterday. During a break in the proceedings I told the dentist about my first dentist, Dr. Finlayson. I do that often; anytime dentistry is mentioned in a social or business situation and frequently when it isn't. Dr. Finlayson the dentist and Ross Finlayson the husband, father, and citizen was so exceptionally competent, generous, kind and personable that the snippets of his story that I saw first hand, as long ago as 1959, never fail to impress and inspire me and those who never knew him. So it was with great sadness that when I investigated Dr. Finlayson's whereabouts I read that he had recently passed.
Hail to an exemplorary life.
Ross was an extremely kind and generous man as well as an excellent dentist. He took good care of my young family and for my kids going to the dentist was not the terrifying experience that I experienced before we discovered Dr. Finnie. My condolences to Don, Joan and Nancy!
What a lovely photograph of Dr. Ross Finlayson! We lived across the street from his family in Hamilton. My condolences to Donald, Joan and Nancy and your families. He was a well respected professional and a caring father. Chris Bowlby (Courtenay, BC)
Dr. Finlayson was my Dentist for some 50 years. I first was a patient when i was 5 and continued to see him yearly first with my parents, then by myself from about age 12, and later he looked after my Wife and 3 Children.
He as a great Dentist and an even better man. I was never afraid to have a dentist appointment because he was so cheerful and funny and made the experience so great. i especially remember the paintings of World War !! airplanes in his reception room. I will miss him and always thing of him with a smile. Derick McQuarrie, Hamilton
