"Rusty" Carroll Boyce Boggs Jr.
Lura, although we have not kept in touch with each other over the past years, I still feel as close to you as when Roger first introduced us. You and Rusty were never strangers to me. Your whole family made me feel as we had known each other for years . You all made me feel I was a part of your family. We had some fun times together. My only regret is we were unable to make more memories.
Rusty was a special person just as you are. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in the untimely loss of Rusty. I pray God will lift you up and surround you with His love and grace now and in the days to follow. May He give you the strength and endurance only He can provide when we lose someone we love.
Not only a cousin, Rusty ministered to so many of us out of his own Bible wisdom as well as trials endured together by Lura and all your family. IN recent years he comforted Mary when cancer struck and ministered to us when Libby died in February. We miss him dearly, pray the healing of the Holy Spirit upon you, Lura, the girls, and Connie and Charlie. Can we imagine the glory of being with Jesus and family members? love , Jim and Linda, with Mary
My friendhip with Rusty is one I'll always treasure. He is one of the finest men I ever knew and I'll miss him terribly.
Lura, you already know this, but I want to say it: Rusty was a great newspaperman, a good and decent human being and a wonderful guy to call a friend. It doesn't get any better. I am happy and extraordinarily lucky to have known and worked with him, and I join many others in knowing that I will miss him. All of us at the Independent send our sympathies to you and the family and want you to know we are here for you if you need us.
