It is hard to find the words to explain the sadness Papaji has left behind, for he touched so many lives in so many ways. He was a man with a wealth of information, love, compassion, a calming nature and most of all one of the most warming smiles ever. The kindness and great respect he treated everyone with was admirable and his outlook to life was something we should all learn from. For him no hurdle was too tough to overcome - and from the stories we all heard he had overcome so many to get his family to where they now are.
For those that knew him well will know that even at an old age he had an amazing technical ability. I will never forget my first trip to Canada and how he showed me his bucket full of garden tools - most of which he had made from items most of would have thrown away. Each tool carefully crafted to care for his abundance of crop - of which he took great pride in growing and harvesting. For us no trip to Canada will be the same for there will be no more early morning Paath coming from his room, no conversations about the news/current affairs, no sipping tea in the garden and nobody to lovingly call me Reenu!!
As we all fight back the tears at this sad time, we should also celebrate Papaji's life and his achievements. And be thankful that we were lucky enough to have such a great man in our presence. He will always be watching down on his loved ones with his golden smile and will always be in our thoughts. Papaji will be sadly missed by us all.
