I miss my Grandma. I think of her and Grandpa often. They had such wonderful spirits that live on through all of us. Britney is having her baby today, they will name her Sadie.
When we joined the church in 1974, Sadie was the first person to introduce me to genealogy. I have loved it ever since and think of her so fondly and so gratefully. What a wonderful woman. Our lives have been blessed by knowing both Sadie and Ted. Our condolences to her family.
Growing up as a child in Alamosa, I have fond memories of Sadie and Ted and their family. My dad served in the Alamosa Ward bishopric with Ted and my mom and Sadie were close friends. Sadie and Ted were always among the first to volunteer and offer service. Everyone was sad to see them move away and leave the valley.
Condolences to the Johnson family and sincere thanks to Sadie for her example and for a life well lived.
Sadie and Ted came to Roseville with my family (Clint, Josie, Ted & Donnie Shawcroft) from Alamosa when the railroad jobs declined. My Shawcroft family originated from Sanford and the LDS church too. As an RN, Sadie visited me after my tonsils were removed in 1962. She and Ted were wonderful friends to my grandmother Josie. She was a wonderful woman who passed her love onto her family and all of her friends.
