Thank you so much for the pictures. I related to many of them and they brought back great memories of my Aunt Savena. We all have been blessed because of Aunt Savena's life.
These pictures brought back good memories, and of course some of them were just as I remember Aunt Savena the most. I remember good times, the patient way she had with me when I was little, and how much she enjoyed flowers and birds and the simple things of life.
What can one say when an aunt has been part of my life for 75 years and is no longer here? There are more memories than can be put in a book. May she rest in peace after a life of volunteering, being active in church affairs, going to college in her 40's and teaching school, reading, keeping busy, raising a fine son who helped preserve our freedom at the expense of his own and who has a loving daughter in law, 2 granddaughters, a son in law and 3 beautiful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her life was well spent.
I enjoyed your photos, Becky. I'm sorry I can't be there tomorrow as our car is acting up as is the weather. I will certainly visit Savena in the spring in Westwood Cemetery.
I loved seeing all these photos in the gallery... my favorite one that I never saw was the one where Aunt Savena was sitting on the lawn chair and I guess it collapsed and she is laughing... I have wonderful memories of being at her house with all the family.. I will miss her dearly
