Dr. Stephen Thomas Gupton Jr.
The most generous and kind physician I have ever worked for - a man who truly loved what he did and cared for so many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time. I met Dr. Gupton in the late 1960's, early 1970's. I was having horrific migraine headaches and he performed a procedure, in layman's terms known as "blowing air on your brain". No, you weren't put to sleep and the procedure was gruesome. But whatever Dr. Gupton did, he blew out what was causing the problem because I've never had a migraine since then!! Though they say I talked out of my head, so much so I even threatened his life, he was my life saver. I have often thought of him and the wonderful work he did and what would have happened to me if he had not been such a wonderful, caring physician. He was a true believer in caring for people, caring for his patients. He left a wonderful legacy that you all can be proud of. May God's Word give you comfort during this time of sadness. My condolences to the Gupton family on your loss. I was an employee of Dr Gupton's 1984-1985 in his office across from Wake Med.
Diane - We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. We'll be thinking about you and your family during this very difficult time. I never met your Dad, but after reading his obit, I wish I had.
