Rozie,

I was so sad to see your name this morning reading the paper. My husband, John R., worked with you at #1 and you were his hero all the time. We were just talking about you last night and then I opened the paper today. You must have wanted him to know. He never forgot you. You left lasting memories for him. You will be missed by many. RIP

Vince: I know you're working behind the desk in copper heaven. Does it look like the old 1st Precinct desk you were in charge of for 25yrs. I hope they fixed that old typewriter you used, the one you wanted to throw out the back door. When our lieutenant would always yell, NO Vince it's the only one we have. (why didn't they use the computer?) If one cop had so many friends on the job you were the Andy Griffith of our Precinct who took care of a lot of Barney Fife's on the job. Miss you Jack Letwin

Jessica and Scott, your dad was one to the “good guys”. He was a truly unique character, he was after all: Uncle Slim. Always ready with kind words of welcome and a hearty laugh at the silliest of jokes…and he did love to laugh. Holly, Heather, Hillary and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to you both. Be comforted in knowing that he is in a better place, along side your mom, and they are both watching over you. We will all miss him.
