William G. "Skeets" Bayer
I will pick where my brother just left off. Our dad grew up with Skeets, and would get together from time to time all through the years. When you would put those two together there was no way not to laugh. One would feed off the other with stories and jokes. I'm sorry for your loss. My dad Harold Gibson passed away around 2002. That was the last time I also saw Skeets. My prayers go out to you and your family.
My Dad, Harold Gibson and Skeets were friends from childhood. As kid I enjoyed when Skeets came to visit, he was always funny. The last time I saw Skeets was when My Dad passed away in 2002.
Uncle Skeets lived with us for a while when I was a child and he was the most fascinating person I knew. Built a boat in the driveway! Every day he would come home and empty his pockets of change and give it to my sister and me. He was always laughing - even when a tree fell on his boat in the Ohio River! He had a wonderful craft shop for awhile - but gave all his products away to the children in the neighborhood that couldn't afford to buy. He was always giving. We all loved him so very much.
Our memories of Skeets will always include a laugh. He always made us laugh until our sides hurt! He will live forever as his stories are passed on! We loved him and his family and will think of our good times together always.
Skeets and my dad Harold Gibson, were good friends and running buddies many years ago. Used to love the visits as him and my dad were funny together. They are now together again. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends
